LTPOA Update

We know it's only September, but if you are interested in becoming an LTPOA Board Member for 2024, please reach out to us. members@laketerracepoa.com

Although it does not feel like it, Fall is only a few days away and the calendar of weekend events is quickly filling up. They are in the order that they take place, with the last event being the most important of all.
  • This Friday, September 15, 5pm at the New Canal Lighthouse. This event is being put on by the Pontchartrain Conservancy.

More information can be found here:

  • This Saturday, September 16 from 7am - noon, there is going to be a race on Lakeshore Drive. Our friends in Lake Vista have provided us with the map and race information.

More information can be found here:

  • The Fried Chicken Festival will be taking place on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1 on Lakeshore Drive at Franklin Avenue from 11am-8pm.

If you have any noise issues with this event please call the Lakefront Management Authority (504) 355-5990. You can also email them info@nolalakefront.com

Please let the LTPOA know if you do contact the LMA.

More information about the festival can be found here:

  • On Saturday, October 14, from 10am-3pm, the 3rd Annual NOLA BugFest will be taking place at the New Orleans Mosquito, Termite & Rodent Control Board on Allen Toussaint. More information can be found here: https://nola.gov/mosquito/nola-bugfest/

  • Also on Saturday, October 14, from 3pm-7pm The Lake Oaks Civic Association is hosting their Annual Steak Night Appreciation Dinner for Law Enforcement Officers. This is an important event for all of us. Let's show these hard working men and women that we care about them. The price is $20 per dinner and every dinner you purchase also purchases a dinner for an officer. You are encouraged to pre-order if possible. This is a fun event for all.

We also encourage you all to get involved with the Lakefront Neighborhood Coalition, a group made up of individuals living along the Lakefront who want to get involved in a multi-neigborhood group.
